NEW TO PORCH FEST
Welcome, Ernie Block, to Porch Fest! Ernie is from Dewitt, Michigan, and has been captivating audiences with his mountain dulcimer since 1978. Renowned for his performances across contemporary, folk, and traditional music genres, Ernie has earned top honors at the Great Lakes Mountain Music Competition.
RETURNING PERFORMERS
Terry Collins is a solo musician with more than 50 years of performing at different venues playing various genres from the 20s through the 70s.
Welcome back Bobby Manila, Jason Allan, and Tony Shiappacasse to Porch Fest. The XoXo's play originals as well as a variety of covers, everything from golden oldies to top 40 radio. Each brings their unique style to complete this ensemble.
Welcome back, Boston Edison to Porch Fest! As a band, they’ve been together since 2017 and have performed at venues in the Detroit area including Max Dugans, the blues hotspot, Moose Winooski, and the Guitar Lounge.
Welcome back, Douglas Wilson to Porch Fest! Douglas grew up in the Metro Detroit area and studied classical music and the upright bass which blossomed into his love for music. His setlist includes the 90’s classics he grew up on, along with the well-known classic rock from the ’60s-’80s and music from today with a few originals sprinkled in as well.
The Humbuckers formed in 2022 when four guys with a long musical history got together to make music they love. The members of the Humbuckers originally played in past Porch Fests as Mike Tremblay & Friends.
Welcome back, The Klik to Porch Fest! The Klik has a dynamic lead vocalist with a strong range. They cover top tunes from the '60s through 2000 and play at many clubs and events in Southeast, MI.
Lyric-driven, simple folk songs are what BMI singer-songwriter Mike Ward produces. Welcome back to Porch Fest!
Welcome back, Ean Elliot! Ean is a solo singer-songwriter performing covers from the '50s, ‘60s, ‘70s, and folk, rock'n'roll, blues, and country genres.
Welcome back, Suzi Marsh to Porch Fest! Suzi Marsh is an internationally acclaimed artist who has toured the world playing music. She has co-produced eight of her own albums and has sung on a myriad of other artists’ records. “Lessons of Love “ went to number 19 on the adult contemporary charts…
Singer-songwriter, Nicholas James Thomasma combines stories and songs with humor and wit for a show that can be enjoyed by all ages. Nicholas also helps put on HuCo Songs, a songwriting retreat weekend in Port Austin in September. Welcome back, Nicholas!
Triple Play is a Tri-City-based rock band from Sanford. The group covers favorites from the 50s through the 00s and likes to get a crowd moving to familiar songs with strong harmonies and flashy guitar licks.
Welcome back FranknJude, a husband and wife acoustic duo with guitar and keys playing popular classic rock tunes from the 60s and 70s.
Mike is from Detroit and Jenna hails from the Chicago area. They have been playing music together for over ten years and are known for their timeless cover selections, unique arrangements, and thought provoking and entertaining original music.
Huron Out is a musical duo that travels the thumb area playing songs we grew up with and brilliant originals including a mix of folk, blues, rock, and country.
A sound that has been likened to Harry Chapin, John Denver, James Taylor, and other Americana with a love of the great 60s/70s era music. Tim is a songwriter with a love for solo performance.
Kenny Lang is a singer/songwriter from Port Austin. His songs brilliantly illustrate stories about life, love, happiness, and struggle.
SUGAR are an all-ukulele group (with an occasional kazoo for kicks and giggles). There will probably be somewhere around a dozen to eighteen musicians who come and play.
Single acoustic guitar and vocalist from Capac, Michigan. Originally from Indian River, Michigan, he’s spent the last 40 years playing and performing at campfires, coffee houses, church sanctuaries, and small gatherings of every kind. You may have seen him playing right here in Port Austin!
Schwanitz and Roggenbuck perform crowd-pleasing songs of folk-rock, ballads, and sing-a-longs from the ‘50s to the 2000s. Brian is a Michigan native, who plays with The Geezers in Texas. Kevin joins in for a second year, giving the group a fuller sound. Brian’s daughter, Erin, plays with the Austin Philharmonic Orchestra.
Welcome back the Silverwood Bottom Boys! The audience will enjoy old-time gospel music, hymns, and patriotic tunes. For ten years they hosted and played Saginaw's White Crow Conservatory's Gospel Music Night, in addition to many churches throughout Michigan.
Welcome back, Dr Harp & Sweet Melissa! Get in the groove with this talented four-person group featuring guitars, keyboards and blues harp. Plan on seeing a rousing set of jump blues, boogie and americana with tunes spanning about 100 years of history.
Welcome back the Bill Denbrock Big Band! For more than 40 years, this authentic full-band has played arrangements of music of the swing / big band era.
Circle of Friends focuses on Peter, Paul & Mary, transporting audiences back to the sixties with songs of peace, protest, struggle, and love, and has since diversified to cover more artists.
Welcome back, the Buggs to Porch Fest! Raymond and Susan Bugg are a husband and wife duet from Harbor Beach, Michigan. Raymond plays guitar and sings and Susan sings and provides an atmosphere of joy with an assortment of costumes and props.
Three siblings who have a great time singing together. Marty is from Muskegon and has over 40 years of experience playing guitar. Carole is from Grand Rapids. Peggy is from Port Austin. They have been singing practically from birth. If you enjoy singing along with the oldies from the 60’s, come join in for some easy harmonies and lots of fun memories in song.
