Matt Watroba will be the featured performer “Live On Stage” at the Port Austin Farmers Market on Saturday, August 3, 2024.
Matt sings and writes songs of compassion, inner strength, humor, and everyday living.
Many know Matt Watroba as the voice of folk music in Michigan for his work with WDET–Detroit Public Radio. As producer and host of the “Folks Like Us” program, and the nationally syndicated “Sing Out Radio Magazine” and “Folk Alley”, Watroba has come in contact with many aspects of folk music and culture. This has helped shape a repertoire and presentation that is unique on stages across the state and country. He is committed to inspiring the world to sing-- one town at a time. Matt brings a unique set of talents to the stage as an educator, performer and master of ceremonies. His passion for bringing the community together through music and education is infectious. Add to that Matt's own special brand of humor and you are in for a most entertaining and enlightening experience.
The entertainment runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the outdoor stage adjacent to the historic gymnasium at the Farmers Market. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the free concert.
