The lively musical duo, Thompson and Valentine, will be the featured performers Live on Stage at the Port Austin Farmers Market on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Thompson and Valentine play favorite country and pop songs that will have you singing along, featuring strong vocals and guitars, and a lot of fun for everyone!

Shawna Thompson comes from a long line of talented Michigan musicians and is proudly carrying on the family tradition. She began playing guitar and singing at the age of 12, and after developing a well-rounded collection of original material, she moved to Nashville at the age of 19. Bringing the experience back with her, she continued to perform a variety of songs solo and with different bands and duos. 

Garry Valentine hails from Gary, Indiana by way of Portland, Oregon, and has played in a variety of West Coast and Midwest country bands. Garry is also a songwriter and arranger and has had formal training on five musical instruments.                                                                                                         

The entertainment runs from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. downtown at the stage adjacent to the historic gymnasium during the Farmers Market.
