Brawny Lad is a trio from Ypsilanti consisting of upright bass and vocals from Tom McCartan, banjo from Davey Jones, and pedal steel from Tom Green. They play mostly originals with a few covers thrown in for good measure. Their music is a mix of folk, country, and midwestern loud singing. They are looking forward to their second stint at Porch Fest. Tom, Davey, and Tom have all been coming to the thumb for decades.
