Brawny Lad is a trio from Ypsilanti consisting of upright bass and vocals from Tom McCartan, banjo from Davey Jones, and pedal steel from Tom Green. They play mostly originals with a few covers thrown in for good measure. Their music is a mix of folk, country, and midwestern loud singing. They are looking forward to their third stint at Porch Fest.

Welcome Botany Bay to Porch Fest! Botany Bay is a Caribbean, Calypso, and Reggae band with two members. Bill lives in Munger and Jim lives in Bay City. Jim taught music at Herter’s Music for many years. Both are retired now and enjoy performing at parties and banquets throughout the Tri-City and Thumb Area.
