Enjoy an evening of free music at Gallup Park on Friday, August 18th with the Bill Denbrock Big Band.
The Bill Denbrock Big Band has been in operation since 1988 in the Michigan Thumb area. The group is made up of reeds, trumpets, trombones, and rhythm, and features arrangements typical of the great big band era.
The band's repertoire features songs from Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, and many more books. They also include many modern numbers in a variety of genres.
The band is dedicated to keeping alive the big band sound. They rehearse regularly and have been featured at a variety of venues over the years, including concerts, weddings, dances, fundraisers, festival events, and more. Headed by Bill Denbrock - a master of the reeds - the band members encompass decades worth of musical experience.
