Ernie Essenmacher will perform from 5-7pm on Thursday September 1, 2022 at the Village Green in downtown Port Austin.

Kick-off your Oktoberfest celebration with the lively music of polka accordion maestro, Ernie Essenmacher. Ernie grew up on a farm near Harbor Beach Michigan. In the 10th grade, he began accordion lessons. After a couple of years of study, he gained enough skill to begin playing at weddings. When legendary accordionist Linda Lee heard Ernie she hired him to play summers in Frankenmuth as accordionist-in-residence. Ernie also plays with his polka trio called Home Town Sound. He now lives in Ubly, enjoying his four children and eleven grandchildren.

The entertainment is free of charge and open to the public. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the concert. Entertainment at the Village Green is made possible by the Port Austin Downtown Development Authority.
