Garry Valentine will perform from 5-7 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at the Village Green in downtown Port Austin.
Currently residing in metro Detroit, Garry hails from Gary, Indiana by way of Portland, Oregon, and has played in a variety of West Coast and Midwest country bands. Garry is also a songwriter and arranger and has had formal training on five musical instruments. His biggest thrill was playing shows with Country Music Hall of Fame members Hank Thompson and Ferlin Husky. He co-founded the country band "No Way Home" which was twice voted "Outstanding Country Act" by the Portland Music Association and appeared on local TV a number of times. More locally, he played music with the Robin Moore Band (now Ruby, T & Valentine) at venues ranging from Detroit's Hard Rock Cafe to the New Holland Brew Pub in Holland, Michigan.
The entertainment is free of charge and open to the public. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the concert. Entertainment at the Village Green is made possible by the Port Austin Downtown Development Authority.
