Marbrisa plays a fusion of traditional latin music and american influences including blues, soul, folk, and jazz. She writes her own music in English and in Spanish, and also does her own interpretations of many traditional Latin tunes that she learned from being a nomadic traveler.

Based out of Detroit, Michigan, Marbrisa plays for various events, bars, restaurants. She got her performing experience first out of Guatemala, by busking on buses and walking around to restaurants playing for tips. She also busked in the NYC subways for a short while before settling in Detroit and becoming a professional singer/songwriter. She enjoys world music, but primarily showcases songs from Latin America and a bit of folk, jazz, blues influences. This year she was nominated for best vocalist in world music for the Detroit Music Awards.
