Below you will find the 2018 Porch Fest III Performance Schedule going on Saturday, June 23. See the Porch Fest in Post Austin Facebook page for news and updates. Programs will be available at the Port Austin Farmers Market and at the locations below on the day of the event. 

 

1)  8736 Lake (Osentoski Realty)

  • 1-3 PM - Circle of Friends – a trio – strings, vocals – A Peter, Paul, and Mary tribute, originals, and more
  • 4-5 PM - Sami Mei – singer/songwriter – acoustic, soul; hints of blues, jazz, rock – expressive, unique vocals

2)  31 Railroad St (The Haven)

  • 1-3 PM  - Dr. Harp & Sweet Melisa – guitar, blues harp – jump and ancient blues, Americana (80 years of it)
  • 4-5 PM - Anthony Retka – singer/songwriter, pop/rock and folk – 15 years on the Detroit music scene

3)  8586 Lake (Rousseaux)

  • 1-3 PM - Ban-Joes of Michigan – 10-12 players – banjos, guitar, bass – ragtime, jazz

4) 8544 Lake (The Garfield Inn)

  • 1-3 PM - Autumn Gold – a duo – guitar, light percussion, vocals – easy listening, 70’s to today
  • 3-5 PM - Marty Eckerman – acoustic guitar, vocals, musical variety, covers

5)  8510 Lake (The Questover)

  • 3-5 PM - Bill Denbrock Big Band – (10+ musicians0 – full band arrangement of swing/big band era (RIP, Bill)

6)  8569 Lake (Waller)

  • 1-2 PM - Cliff Stuehmer – guitar, banjo, vocal – a good mix of music
  • 3-4 PM - Penn & Ross – guitars, mandolin, vocals – country, folk, Americana, catchy and memorable melodies
  • 4-5 PM - Kate Hinote – singer/songwriter – Indic, Alternative Folk, Noir

7)  8609 Lake (Collier)

  • 3-5 PM - Reel Happy Strings Band – (4+ performers) – swing (20’s-60’s), Irish dance tunes, dixieland, bluegrass, novelties, requests

8)  24 Beaver (Chaplinski)

  • 1-3 PM - Spoonful Blues Band – 5 member band – guitar, drums, bass, keyboard, classsic blues, rock, R&B

9)  8571 Jefferson (Onifer)

  • 1-3 PM - Jeff Taylor – acoustic guitar, classic rock, and folk
  • 3-5 PM - FranknJude – a duo – guitar, keyboard, vocals – classic rock 60’s and 70’s

10)  164 Washington (Nichols)

  • 2-3 PM - The Prospects – 4 man band – guitar, bass, drums, vocals – classic rock
  • 4-5 PM - Dennis Wilkie – guitar, keyboard, bass, drums, vocals

11)  36 Washington (Winter)

  • 1-3 PM - Ourselves – two brothers – masters of many instruments – assorted Americana and Irish songs

12)  20 Washington (The Bee Barn)

  • 1-2 PM - Bobby Manila – vocals, guitar, covers and originals, 70’s to current pop
  • 3-5 PM - Lucy's Brown Seville – 4 man band – guitar, bass, drums, vocals, retro-inspired funky soul/blues

13)  114 W State St (Steigerwald)

  • 1-3 PM - Cattail Bay Muskrats – a duo; banjo, accordion, vocals; a variety of musical genres
  • 3-5 PM - Still Running – a duo – guitar, banjo, percusion, vocals – covers, originals, unique arrangements

14)  256 W State St (Schwedler)

  • 3-5 PM - Jonathan Ferris – vocals, acoustic guitar – Americana, folk

15)  264 W State St (Theobald)

  • 1-2 PM - Countryfied – a duo – guitar, vocals, pop/rock
  • 3-4 PM - Miguel Vasquez – a 13 year old student of the school of rock, performing since age seven

16) 8673 Omelia (Hursin)

  • 3-5 PM - Tim Vitullo – four man band from Pittsburgh – Americana, blues/roots rock/ jam band

17)  170 Union St (Osantoski)

  • 1-3 PM - Silverwood Bottom Boys – 4 man band -mandolin, sax, guitar, bass – old-time gospel music, hymns

18)  119 Union St (Rodgers)

  • 1-3 PM - Mike Anton – singer/songwriter, guitar and harmonica, mostly original, folk/blues based

  • 3-5 PM - Blood Harmony – father and daughters - guitar, strings, piano, vocals – Americana, old-time folk

19) 158 W Spring (Beachcomber)

  • 1-3 PM - Schwanitz – husband/wife, from Houston, Texas – guitar, bass, vocals – pop/rock

20) 205 W Spring (Doser)

  • 3-5 PM - Mountain Babies – 4 man band – Ambient Folk, Psychedelic Country

21) 284 W Spring (Piskor)

  • 1-3 PM - Vernon Tonges – guitar/banjo/vocals – a “rebel” - Americana, blues-based, originals
 

*** "The Buggs" (Raymond & Susan Bugg) will be roaming throughout town – a duo, guitar and sing-along format of patriotic, children, gospel, campfire favorites

 

*** Noreen Habana, proprietor of the popular Indigo Mood clothing store on W. Spring Street, will be performing at intervals throughout the afternoon on the patio between Blue Moon Ice Cream and Pilates Revolution. Noreen plays guitar and sings. 


Some of the musicians may have CDs of their music or merchandise for sale. We encourage you to support their efforts and talent.
